Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Activities Coordinatorto play an integral role in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and make a significant contribution in the area of rehabilitation.Our client provides treatment, care, and support to adults with severe and enduring mental health needs. They are the only facility in Ireland that provides a high level of specialized care for people with Huntington's disease.

Role Details:

Job Location: Dublin, Ireland

Mode of Working: Onsite

SalaryScale: The salary scale ranges from €15.50 - €17.50 based on previous experience relating to this role.

Hours of Work: 39 hours over a period of 5 days, between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. Candidate must be flexible to work bank holidays and weekends.



Responsibilities will include:

* Develop a professional rapport with residents.
* Ensure that residents are greeted and welcomed to participate in activities that are appropriate to them.
* Obtain information from residents and/or their families regarding their interests and skills.
* Plan activities programmes collaboratively with individual patients.
* Organize, supervise, and implement therapeutic and recreational programmes for the patients.
* Plan, supervise, and accompany patients on appropriate outings.
* Engage patients in both group and individual activities as deemed appropriate.
* Observe general behavior, ability, and response from residents and document the information in the resident's care plan as well as communicate to the ward staff and wider MDT team.
* Take part in the audit process in relation to recreational and activityprogrammes.



The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

* QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare or equivalent is an advantage.
* Minimum of 6 months experience as an Activities Coordinator, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Healthcare Assistant.
* Previous experience in a psychiatric environment is an advantage.
