FRS Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our clients accounts team in Virginia Co Cavan. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling various accounting and administrative tasks. This is a full time, permanent position.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:* Maintaining accounts payable ledger, including processing invoices and preparing reconciliations
* Preparing remittancesand payments and maintaining payment books
* Dealing with supplier queries
* Preparation of bank reconciliations
* Maintenance of fixed asset registers and leasing schedules
* Assist the Finance Department with year-end and monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
* Assist with preparation of VAT/ VIES & Intrastat returns
* Maintain petty cash ledger
*All other duties which may be assigned from time to time in line with experience and competence

* Attention to detail is highly important
* Be able to adhere to strict deadlines
Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:
* Qualified accounting technician or similar level qualifications advantage
* At least two year's experience with accounts payable ledgers and bank reconciliations
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and experience in using an ERP system
