Assistant Site Accountant is required for one of the UK leading manufacturing sites based in Manchester with some travel to other site This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs best loved brands and be part of this iconic company.
Based in the factory you will provide pivotal support to the Site Leadership Team. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager you will support in a range of areas including preparation of quarterly forecasts, budgets and performance reporting. There isflexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week, but there will be travel every 2 weeks to another site based further South.The successful Assistant Site Accountant will:
* Be fully or part CIMA qualified.
* Costing experience.
* Experience ofmaking sophisticated financial analysis easily understood in an FMCG/manufacturing background.
* Experience of financial analysis, modelling and investment appraisal techniques
* Experience of using an ERP - SAP or JD Edwards;

Duties of Assistant Site Accountant include:
* Reviewing and reporting performance against agreed budgets andforecasts.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory and group account procedures.
* Business partner to site cost centre managers, supporting them in overheads management.
* Support Finance Manager in budget / quarterly forecasting processes.
* Standard product costing ownership including financial support for the development of new product.
* Ensure robust financial controlthrough maintaining the site asset register, being responsible for timely capitalisation, disposal, asset verification and periodic balance sheet reconciliation review.
* Support and liaising with project leads regarding capital reporting and forecasting.
* Reviewing statement of process standardisation.
