My client a leading Builders Providers group are seeking to recruit a Credit Controller for a role based in Cork City.
The responsibilities of this role include the following:
* For a given customer database, managing the collection and resolutionof outstanding balances.
* Conducting regular reviews of the allocated debtor's ledgers and following up on payments due.
*Ensuring that all customer queries are responded to in a timely manner.
* Co-ordinating the completion of new customer/creditapplication forms including the checking of trade references.
* Preparing credit limit increase applications and submitting tohead office.
* Ensuring that all company credit control procedures are adhered to.
* Liaising with external sales staff, branch management, head office personnel and various internal departments to ensure that the collections, overdue debt and debtorsdays targets are achieved.
* Ensuring that company lodgements and cash handling policies are adhered to at all times.
* Asthis role is a key position in the operation of a branch in a busy environment there could be other ad hoc/administrative dutieswhen and if required.
Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a credit control or similar position in a busy environment.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, communication and interpersonal skills
* Be computer literate and experienced in using IT systems including MS Office.
* A strong attention to detail and an ability to problem solve.
