Description:

The Efficiencies Programme Manager is a key role for the Trust, working collaboratively alongside Finance Directorate colleagues to ensure the delivery of the Efficiencies Programme, including identifying, accurately costing, analysing, monitoring and reporting on all cross cutting and divisional efficiencies.

The Efficiencies Programme Manager is tasked with the overall programme management and reporting sensitive highly complex information, ensuring continuous communication with the Divisional and Workstream leads to ensure that the progress of the Programme is accurately reported.

This is a vital and central role and will support Executives, Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) clincians and key stakeholders in varying roles and seniority across the Trust and will require a focus on ensuring cost, quality and time constraints are adhered to.


Key Responsibilities:

This role is instrumental to the Strategy and Transformation Team and the improvement and efficiency projects and programmes throughout the Trust. As such, the post holder will be required to:


* Working with the Finance Directorate,you will drive the development of the Trust's Efficiencies Programme and manage a number of specific projects concurrently, in order to support the Financial Recovery Plan.
* Responsible for representation at a number of Project Meetings linked to efficiency schemes and provide high-calibre project management and financial input into project group meetings as well as acting as acore contact for divisional and workstream leads, to advise on all matters related to the Efficiencies Programme.
* Responsible for delivery of the Cross Cutting Theme Efficiencies and Divisional Programmes of work and ensure the agreed savings target are achieved whilst managing the Trust's efficiency financial tracker.
* Presenting complex reports to the various committees and senior colleagues, including Project Initation Documents, Integrated Impact Assessment and Business Cases.
* Support the Head of Strategy to develop, coordinate and implement any standard work procedures aligned to the Efficiencies Programme.
* Deliver an in-depth and up to date knowledge of the Trust's Patient First Improvement System and how this aligns with the Efficiencies Programme and better clinical outcomes for our patients.
* Ensure project documentation is up to date including maintainingprogramme risk and issue logs and ensuring mitigations are in place and escalated in line with the Trust's risk management policy. Deliver high quality auditable Project documentation throughout the programme lifecycle.
* Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders and maintain constant engagement and momentum to ensure the rigor of the process is observed, including the Business Inteligence teams to ensure data is updated and accurate.
* Ensure personal flexibility if required to meetconflicting/changing programme requirements whilst managing your own workload.
* Maintain the financial efficiency tracker alongside Finance colleagues, and support the implementation of a new KPI tracker.

Skills

* Ability to communicate multi-stranded project, design, financial, contractual and technical information, presenting scheme proposals where required for the Efficiencies Programme, ensuring communication is in a clear and concise manner and in such a way that barriers to communication andunderstanding are effectively overcome.
* Planning, organising and project managing multi stranded projects, programmes and initiatives, ongoing and inter dependant. Producing accurate project plans and programmes.
* Expert level of skill required inthe use of Microsoft Word Packages.
* Ability to develop positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability toremain calm, professional and focussed when under pressure and/or dealing with difficult situations.

Qualifications

* Educated to MA Degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level.
* Evidence of recent continuing professional development.
* PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification.
* Extensive knowledge of rangeof specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to Degree level or equivalent
