Finance Director is required for a global logistics company who is going through rapid growth. Employing over 20,000 people globallyand delivering over 3.9 billion items globally every year this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the growth.
Reporting into the CFO, you will lead and manage a team of 7 finance and accounting professionals to ensure the correct core foundationsfor 2 UK businesses within the group are carried out. You will also be part of the UK leadership team and sit on the board.This role offers flexible working with 1-2 days in the office near Feltham and the rest based from home, although there is further flexibility if required. In reward you will be paid a salary between £80,000 p.a. and £86,000 p.a. plus car allowance, bonus,private medical, free parking plus much more!
Finance Director duties include:
* Maintenance of profit & loss and balance sheet in line with UK GAAP and adaptation to IFRS as necessary.
* Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as necessary.* Assist with statutory compliance, e.g. VAT Returns, Audit, Financial Statement disclosures, National Surveys.
* Overseeing the payroll and bookkeeping system.
* Ensure adequate internal controls are installed and that substantiating documentationis available.
* Review the transport (incl. Air) surcharges and fuel surcharges monthly.
* Improve monthly variance analysison overheads vs budget.
* Cash flow control and compliance - making sure that cash flow needs are on time, communicated and followed up as well as compliant.
* Full responsibility for Group Reporting compliance with group monthly reporting requirements and deadlines
The successful Finance Director must have:
* University Degree in Finance or Accounting.
* Experience within a logistics, shipping or similar industry.
* Excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of the company's financial situation.
* Ambition and a strong desire to succeed.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
