LIVERPOOL
BASIC SALARY £75,000 + BONUS + PENSION + FREE PARKING
FINANCE DIRECTOR (FD) OPPORTUNITY:
We've been exclusively appointed to find an experienced Finance Director for a hugely successful and expanding firm based in the heart of Liverpool.
You'll be responsible for leading the functional departments, contributing to the company's strategic development plans, annual budgets, implementation of corporate finance strategies, ensuring that the group complies with all laws, policies & regulations.
FINANCE DIRECTOR (FD) RESPONSIBILITIES:
* AsFinance Director, undertaking the responsibility for the reparation and reporting of financial performance
* Working with theFinancial Controller to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial data and management information.
* Ensuring the business meets all statutory financial reporting obligations including all statutory filings such as Annual Reports, Accounts
* Managing audit and risk functions, maintain appropriate operational assurance, corrective action and risk registers and provide appropriate Board reports
* Undertaking the responsibilities of Company Secretary, ensuring the company abides by current law andall records are up to date. Advising all board members of their obligations.
* Attending Board meetings and reporting on company financials and business performance
* Producing all management reports, seeking to automate and standardise as much as possible
* Strategic leadership of the Company's procurement and supply chain management programme and will ensure compliance to mandatory procurement and tendering processes
* Identifying areas of the business to investigate regarding efficiency gains andservice improvements
* Consideration and evaluation of improvement and other plans, propositions or projects
* Responsiblefor management of external contracts and other projects
FINANCE DIRECTOR (FD) PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential
* Qualified Accountant with Experience in either Financial Controller (FC) or Finance Director (FD) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position with both Strategic & Operational skills (Industry or Practice background will be considered)
* Budgetary Management Experience at Finance Controller / Finance Director level
* Experience of overseeing other departments such as HR.
* Corporate Finance or fund raising experience
* Good understanding of Employment Law and Regulations
* Excellent communicator - able to explain financial issues to non-financial colleagues.
* Logical approach to work activity and processes.
