SRGEurope are actively recruiting for a seasoned Finance Director to join an International Insurance Company with a base on the vibrantand sunny island of Gibraltar. The Finance Director must be fully qualified ACA or ACCA or the equivalent and will develop strong working relationships with senior Finance management, leadership team and all third party suppliers. The appointed Finance Director will manage the Gibraltar Finance team and guide the business through exciting future growth plans.

Discretionary bonus.The Finance Director Role and Responsibilities are:
*
Ensures the ongoing review and development of financial systems, procedures and controls.
*
Contribute to the achievement of the business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
*
Prepare forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
*
Oversee the preparation and performdetailed review of the financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
*
Maintains sufficient capital at all times to support underwriting and meet requirements.
*
Provides expert guidance on application of accounting standards and recommend best accounting practices
*
Maintain key links with the team, other departments within the Company and Group, and with external bodies to resolve queries and timely reporting processes.
*
Manage the motivation, development and performance of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
*
Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value.
*
Ultimate accountability for the implementation and operational effectiveness of assigned controls to mitigate related financial risks.
*
Reporting to Senior Management any design or operational control issues related financial risks.
*
Oversee relevant internal and external audits, acting as principal point of liaison.
The Finance Director Profile will be as follows:
*
Qualified memberof a UK accountancy body (ACA, ACCA) or holder of an equivalent qualification
*
UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II
*
Motor insurance
*
Gibraltar based, knowledge of local rules and regulations
*
Extensive senior level accountancy experience (10+ years), preferably within UK Motor insurance
*
Significant managerial experience
*
Excellent interpersonalskills and an effective communicator
*
Able to take decisive action and work with others to reach a viable solution
*Knowledgeable and well-informed, with hands-on experience of the industry and a keen eye on the future
*
Demonstrated excellence in managing and building a Finance team, its systems and processes
*
Strong analytical skills
*
Experienceinterpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
*
Has the skills needed to make an immediate and sustainable difference in an organisation.
