FINANCE MANAGER
SUNDERLAND
£45,000 - £50,000 FTE + BENEFITS
9 MONTH FTC - 3 DAYS A WEEKTHE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is partnered with an established charity based in Sunderland. My client has been establishedfor over 20 years and helps to support the North Easts Communities. They're looking to hire a Finance Manager to join the business on a prorated basis of 21 hours a week to cover maternity leave for a period of 9 months. The Finance Manager will lead a small accounts team of 3 and report into the CFO and Board.
FINANCE MANAGER DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Manage the day-to-day financefunction and finance team.
* Oversee grant income monitoring and claims preparation.
* Review monthly payroll and pension submissions for the Foundation.
* Prepare financial reports for Board and Committee meetings.
* Attend regular meetings withbudget holders.
* Work closely with CEO on ad hoc reports as required.
* Oversee and ensure effective credit control.
* Adhoc reporting for Board requests
* Review monthly management accounts pack for all group organisations including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations to an agreed timetable.
* Quarterly forecasting of the group accounts with the support of the Assistant Accountant.
* Quarterly / monthly VAT returns
KEY EXPERIENCE
* ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified.
* 1- 2 years' experience as Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant in a not for profit or charity environment is beneficial
* Intermediate to advanced MS Excel
* Experience in using Sage 200
* Experience in Reporting into board level, as this is a key duty for the Finance Manager
