THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is exclusively working with a longestablished business within the Education sector located in Salisbury that is seeking an Qualified Finance Manager to join theteam.
As the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the finance function where you'll be managing an Assistant Accountantwho will be delivering on the transactional elements. Personally handling; year end, financial reporting to the board, forecasting, cashflow, taxation and more.

THE FINANCE MANAGER ROLE:
* Reporting to the Board of Directors, taking full responsibility for leading the finance department and full P&L management
*Managing and coaching the Assistant Accountant who manages the transactional finance responsibilities.
* Statutory accounts and risk management
* Producing detailed finance reports and presenting at board meetings
* Advising on general financial policies within the facility and its trading companies
* Advising on taxation matters generally, including VAT, Business Rates andCouncil Tax
* Responsible for the cash and balance sheet management
* Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting processand preparing annual estimates of income and expenditure.
* Monitoring income and expenditure
* Preparing monthly management accounts and presenting regular reports to the Governing Body.
* Maintaining a rolling five-year financial forecast and linked cash flow projection
* Managing Payroll and administering pension schemes for all staff
* Ensuring VAT and Tax compliance where applicable
THE PERSON:
* Current experience as a Finance Manager or similar role such as; Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Financial Director
* Must be fully CIMA or ACCA Qualified
* Excellent communications skills with the confidence to communicate at board level
* Computer literate with MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail and numerical skills is a must
* Experience with Sage Accounting Software is desirable.
