What You Will Be Doing
*
Prepare monthly bordereaux reconciliations
*
Perform data integrity checks*
Assist with quarterly financial reporting validations and controls
*
Assist with monthly accounts preparation duties
*
Create and bind submissions on underwriting system and file supporting documents
*
Ensure necessary compliancedocumentation is complete for assigned contracts
*
Assist with large loss claims bookings in the companies' underwritingsystem
*
Book XOL premiums and ensure timely payment
*
Log cash transactions in the company's underwriting system*
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
*
Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned
*
Provide information required by theInsurance Manager for compliance and regulatory purposes
*
Develop existing accounting and transactional templates to assist the onboarding for new business
*
Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role*
A University Degree, preferably with a numerical focus, so Accounting, Business or economics as examples
*
Ideally qualified/part qualified accountant, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar, candidates who are AAT qualified will be considered, atminimum meaningful insurance accounting experience.
*
It would be ideal but not essential to have experience in the insurance industry or within an MGA, ideally within the UK Motor line of business. If no experience training will be provided to the successful candidate
*
SEC Experience advantageous
*
Experience in handling large policy level data sets
*
Experience and ability with solving quantitative problems
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, with advanced Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, @ifs) and Access skills would be ideal
*
Able to work independently and be a problemsolver
*
Ability to follow direction and work towards goal
