Our client is seeking to appoint a skills Group Financial Accountant to a newly created role for a recent acquisation and will be based in Cavan.
Working closely with the Head of Finance on all aspects of financialcontrols, accounts service delivery, and external financial reporting - this is a role that will offer broad scope to the role.The key elements of the role will be:
The co-ordination and delivery of the year-end audit
Leading the establishment of an Internal Audit / Risk program for the Obelisk Group.
Overseeing the monthly group close, consolidation, group reporting packand board info preparation
Compliance with statutory, tax, revenue and other stakeholder requirements such as government agencies.
The role will provide the Lead on SAP system implementation
Responsibilities:
Group Financial Info Pack - preparation and reporting
Responsibility for all aspects of Statutory Audit and Tax processes from planning to completion
Constant review of internal Finance processes
Dealing with Government Agencies and other Stakeholders in relation to Grants/Supports etc
Ensurerobust Financial Controls are in place across the Department
Lead the establishment of an Internal Audit / Risk program
Overheads Management and reporting on budgetary compliance
Monthly Statutory Financial Accounts and Consolidation - preparation andreporting
Monthly Statutory Accounts - Reconciliations review and reporting
Responsibility for Government Agencies reporting and compliance
Payroll reporting and compliance
Lead SAP implementation and internal process mapping/process improvement initiatives
Support and Supervise Team Resources as required
Support colleagues as required
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience of Financial Reporting within a Group Organisation
Experience of delivering Annual Statutory Audits
SAP / Systems Delivery Experience
Qualified or Experienced Accountant
3 years + experience
