Payroll & Accounts Administrator

A role has arisen at First City for an individual to manage the processing of payroll and billing tasks within a dynamic Finance team. The ideal individual will be someone that not only has attention to detail but has a 'keen eye' for adding value to improve processes where necessary.

As a Payroll Administrator you will be working cross-functionally across teams to ensure the consistent, smooth verification of our payroll. With duties ranging from internal support to provide insights to ensuring the smooth running of our payroll processes, you will be involved in all aspects of Payroll in support of the business. This position reports to the Senior finance Manager,

Role And Responsibilities *

* Manage and process UK monthly payroll(s), calculating, checking, and runningaudit reports
* Ensure payroll system holds accurate payroll records Create, balance, and submit HMRC monthly RTI
* Managingthe Auto-Enrolment (AE) process and assisting with Pension enrolment, maintenance, and contribution upload
* Manage year endprocesses including setting up new companies and amendments on sage L50 payroll system, including knowledge End Year Updates (EYU),
* Experience of processing high volume payrolls, including calculating, checking, and producing audit reports.
* Good time-management skills and the ability to work comfortably under pressure
* Knowledge of Excel Ability to handle confidential information
* Solid MS Office skills
* Effective written and verbal communication.
* Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.
* Can learn and apply new information or skills.
* Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
* Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with manager, co-workers and customers



Preferred: * Payroll Certification

Salary £25,000

Hours Monday to Friday8.30am - 17.00pm
