We're exclusively recruiting for a globally recognised Manufacturing business that is set to triple in size over the 5 years. This highly innovative company significantly invests in R&D and is changing the face of their industry through the creation of product with the environment and sustainability in mind.
As part of their expansion plans, they now seek an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Payable professional to join their fast-paced finance team.The successful candidate, will be awarded the sole responsibility the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable function, managing approximately 250 suppliers, raising PO numbers, account reconciliation and managing supplier payment runs.

THE PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK / ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ROLE:
* Reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of a finance team consisting of 4 people.
* Taking sole responsibility for the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable function, handling high numbers of weekly purchase invoices
* Ensuring invoice accuracy and conducting fraud checks before processing
* Loadingsupplier invoices into the ERP system and ensuring they are attached to the correct nominal
* Conducting supplier account reconciliation and raising invoices queries both internally and with suppliers
* Handling weekly supplier payments runs and gaining payment approvals
* Analysing
* Analysing the Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger and generating reports for the Finance Director for their monthly Management Accounts report
* Providing support to other members of the finance team to ensure smoothrunning of the department
* Implementing new processes to streamline the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable function
THE PERSON:
* The successful candidate will need current experience of working within an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger position or a broader Accounts Assistant position where there is a high volume of purchase ledger transactions
* You'll need to bea good communicator who is confident to communicate with the Board of Directors and Suppliers
* Computer literate with good experience of MS Office, especially with MS Excel where you'll need to be operating at an Intermediate level
* Any experience ofworking with an ERP based accounts system such as SAP (or similar) would be a significant advantage but is by no means essential
* This position would suit an individual who loves working within a fast-paced office and within ambitious business
