TRANSACTIONAL FINANCE MANAGER
KNUTSFORD, CHESHIRE
£40,000 - £45,000 + BENEFITS
THE COMPANY:
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful group ofcompanies that operate in the construction industry who are looking to recruit a hands-on Transactional Finance Manager to workclosely with the Finance Director.
As the Transactional Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for handling the transactional finance activities, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Invoice Approvals, Bank / Account Reconciliation, CIS Payments and workingclosely with contractors.
In addition, you'll be involved in month end activities, including accruals, prepayments, VAT returns and managing the cashflow.

THE TRANSACTIONAL FINANCE MANAGER ROLE:
* Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll be responsible for running the finances for one of the subsidiaries and assisting in group wide accounting as and when required.
* Overseeing and developing a Finance Administrator
* Management of the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Notes, Bank Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation
* Maintaining Purchase Order numbers and approval procedures
* Preparing supplier paymentsand authorising transactions
* Handling supplier and subcontractor payments, including reconciliation
* Ensuring accuracy insupplier and subcontractor statements
* Responsible for the creation of sales invoices, credit notes, and customer communication
* Daily cash posting and effective resolution of sales queries.
* Providing support across various finance department functions
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Managing CIS deductions, HMRC returns, journals, accruals, prepayments, retention journals, VAT returns, and month-end processes.
* Cashflow management and assistingwith budgets
THE PERSON:
* Experience as a Transactional Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Senior Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant
* Experience of processing CIS Returns and cashflow management isessential
* Xero software experience would be beneficial but not essential
* Intermediate Excel skills - Pivot tables, Vlookups
* Recent experience in sales and purchase ledger tasks
* Open to considering QBE or part qualified in AAT, CIMA or ACCA* Strong communication, exceptional task prioritisation, and organisational skills
* A positive, team-oriented attitude withacute attention to detail
